Schmidt's German Sausage Haus in the Historically Beautiful German Village
  Restaurant - Schmidt's
Schmidts Sausage Haus in Columbus OHIO is totally famous & has been developed for 130 years. My love for the German culture is just as famous & I had to check out the family & atmosphere in the Authentic German Village myself. They have huge 1/2 pound Creme Puffs from The Original Vanilla to the Peanut Butter Buckeyes(my favorite) to the German Spice for the Holidays(a special one every month) & of course everybody's favorite, the Chocolate.
People buy sooo many of these huge puffs that you would think I would get sick of seeing them-but I tend to eat one a day. Yes, they're 1/2 pound creme puffs, yet they're sooo good that you can't stop eating them! And check out the Adam Richman Man vs. Food television special on Schmidt's!
The Sausage Haus Restaurant is in the original Stables of the Sausage Packing plant and the quaint authentic preserved German Village's cobblestoned streets lead right into the restaurant. Restaurant Menu - Schmidt's
And of course you can't go wrong if Arnold loves the place...
Schmidt's Sausage Haus - Are you attending the 2022 Arnold Classic? If you're lucky, you might see Arnold himself taking a break at Schmidt's for a famous Jumbo Cream Puff! | Facebook
Besides the menu, which is totally family friendly considering the average dinner is about $20.00 and they have kid's menus, too, they have take out cases with the desserts and the sausages. The links are under $4.00 each and it is a very busy carryout section of the restaurant right in front of you as you walk on the cobblestones entering the foyer. It is a very cool place with live German accordian music from Wednesdays to Saturdays and you will either find yourself listening to a duo of traditional music or the real lively crazy German brothers who are more of a live comedy show than a German Music Oktoberfest duo! It's all fun & the food is great, so enjoy a trip to Schmidt's during your stay in Columbus.

It's a place named THREES appropriately...I received FREE BUCKEYE DONUTS my first entry into the sports weekend where the Ohio State Buckeyes are the number one in the nation. Today is their biggest rivalry, Michigan State so the Buckeye Donuts abound, probably used to bribe anybody crazy enough rooting for Michigan in the midst of the Ohio State Campus!                              Threes Above High - Dive Bar, Live Music
Located at 2203 High Street in Columbus, Ohio
Here is their slogan: Whether you lost your sh*t, want to come party with us, need a ride, or just want to see what we're about, you've found the right place!//img1.wsimg.com/isteam/ip/ba732905-0c22-47b6-9b88-a58ded399061/43b00431-e236-4f37-aaf7-09b644c55e18.jpg/:/rs=w:1300,h:800
So, you kinda get the picture, right? Anyhoot, the first day about 1:00pm I entered the dive bar, I fell in love. It has a super casual pace about it, complete with a band stage & a country western feel to it. The bar counter itself is more of a beer-tent bar, with the counter at stomach level & low seats around it and the bartenders young college kids just sort of mingling behind it. You have to snag one for a drink, and there was a HUGE box of donuts that had a little sign saying FREE on it. I was the only one eating a donut, so I moseyed over to a group of people ranging from 30 to 50 all chatting near one of the televisions and started eating my donut while everybody was drinking beers.
They asked me if it was a Buckeye donut. I said I didn't know what a Buckeye donut was but it was free & pretty good. A blonde girl asked it was really free & ran over to grab some donuts. Soon everybody was coming back with donuts and finally the owner, I presume since he was the only one behind the bar older than 25, brought the entire huge box over to our side handing out donuts. Yep, Buckeye donuts. My first time ever in a beer drinking bar where donuts was the main food~!//img1.wsimg.com/isteam/ip/ba732905-0c22-47b6-9b88-a58ded399061/1500x500.jpg/:/rs=w:1300,h:800
And where there is donuts there is usually...yep that is right....HORSES.//img1.wsimg.com/isteam/ip/ba732905-0c22-47b6-9b88-a58ded399061/e41018fa-b881-4d68-a817-8551d2fed988.png/:/rs=w:1300,h:800
