Bald gibts Burger in Traditionslokal "Chaplin" in Regensburg
Meet Karsten Grunberg Jörn Grimmer of Hamburgerei
with 3 locations in Munich and a total of 9, the young entrepreneurs changed the game 13                                       years ago when they invested into their Gourmet Burger Restaurants.
                                            Feilitzschstrasse 12 is the Schwabing location;
Einsteinstrasse 106 is the Haidhausen location &
                                                   Briennerstrasse 49 is Maxvorstadt location.
It's a fun pair with fresh ideas and kicking social media, yet don't let their laughter and funky Instagram videos fool you.
"We work very hard, and we have worked very long hours to build it to what it is today. We both traveled extensively, and I took one year in Cape Town South Africa as a refreshing break then came back and reminded Jorn that we should open up a Gourmet Burger place. He had been to Berlin and found something original and had loved it. So, we took the risk and thought, okay let's open up our restaurant," Karsten laughs. Burger Restaurant München Schwabing – HAMBURGEREI
"We had great ideas, we're totally committed to the process and the Burger ideas, then the real work started. The Banks, the Owners of the physical locations. They all looked at us like, okay you've never opened a restaurant before and you want us to trust you with our money. HaHaHa. Finally, 1 year later, Jorn, who has connections with the music industry and Sony, found a person who was willing to take the risk with us and we opened our first one."
"We now have about 30-40 recipes for Burgers. We both traveled a lot and take our inspiration from our team's travels, too. We have a special of the month and a funny story about one of our Burgers. It is the Spanish Burger. We put it on the Special of the Month and Everybody loved it. We couldn't make these fast enough. So, we put it on the long-term menu, and it never sold more than any of the other ones. We're like. Okay? So we put it back on a Monthly Special Burger and it sold out again. Okay!" Jorn laughs. "Sometimes it is just the idea of the guest, and you have to go with it."
Karsten's favorite burger is the Mexicana. "It has been my favorite since we added it to the menu, and it is still my favorite."
And Jorn's? "I love the Frenchman. That one is my favorite, yet I honestly could and sometimes do eat a burger every day. I went to a Wellness Specialist once who told me that although she herself wouldn't eat meat due to her own outlook on animal rights, that eating red meat every day is actually very good for you. It is healthy. So, I do eat it a lot."Burger Restaurant München Schwabing – HAMBURGEREI
"We have the alternative healthy cafe for breakfast and lunch here at the Schwabing location, which most people in Europe know the name of Cafe Buur, and as you can see, it has very healthy options."Der Hamburger
Both Jorn & Karsten took advantage of their cafe and had Acai Bowls and Avocado Toast. So, if you're in the neighborhood in the morning, have something super healthy. Indulge in that Matcha Smoothie, but at night splurge on the date and order these Gourmet Burgers.
And when you're biting into the fresh daily minced beef and the home-made bread for the buns, your date will thankyou.

And their very own Hamburgerei Beer. Photo of burgers
And of course Selfies, What would the world                   be if we didn't have selfies...
Okay, the real story of the Hamburger as told by the Hamburgerei's Karsten & Jorn.
Once upon a time, people came from the city of Hamburg to New York City on a Ship.
They drank a lot of wine for the journey and brought along sandwiches.
The meat couldn't be refrigerated in the early 1900s, so the people put the hamburger between                                       two slices of bread and ate their sandwiches on the journey.
Upon docking in America, they told the Americans of a lovely sandwich from their native city of                                                                                Hamburg. Germany.
The Sandwich became known as the Hamburger.
No Juan you did not invent the Hamburger.
However, you invented the Guacamole, which is just as good.
The two fellows owning Hamburgerei of Regensburg and Munich
have honored you with a Mexican Burger.

Thomas is the adorable charming passionate owner of MUNCHEN '72. The quirky leather restaurant/bar that is as playful as it is creatively nostalgic. The entire theme is of celebrating the spirits of the athletes of the 1972 Olympic games in the hope that the world will remember the lives of the athletes who lived and conquered and honor the lives of those who did not; yet still their memory stays on and Good conquers Evil. MUNCHEN '72 IS LOCATED at: Artsy  Glockenbachviertel.
                                                         https://muenchen72.de
It is so delightful to walk around the place, which doubled in size the last 2 years. You will see the photograph of Mark Spitz proudly displaying his 7 gold medals, the stools and chairs the original gymnast pummel leather horses, the original dirndls the woman wore to represent the Olympic ceremonies, the mascot which is a dachshund like the owner's little Lottie, original tennis umpire chairs, and so many more original memorabilia that I feel my descriptions do not do justice. You just have to come and check it out. München 72 – Bar & Restaurant – Am Holzplatz kommen Freunde zusammen! – Geheimtipp München
The cozy little nook that most people reserve for a fun night out. You will feel as if you are transplanted back into the 1972 era. All retro. "That section has a fridge since Germans party at home and they squeeze themselves into the kitchen and so they can rent that half out with the little upstairs corner and fridge and they can have their own little party. I have a playful menu and my burgers are named for Olympic gold medalists and I even have Mark Spitz pancakes!" MÜNCHEN '72 - Updated May 2025 - 67 Photos & 31 Reviews - Holzstr. 16, München, Bayern, Germany - Breakfast & Brunch - Restaurant Reviews - Phone Number - Yelp
"The British Museum had an exhibition on dirndls, and they asked me if they could borrow the 2 original dirndls that I have for the 1972 Olympic games, and of course I said yes. So they went on tour. In fact, I usually find parts of my collection on Ebay and in 2012 Ebay had a printed catalog that they took my picture and featured me on it for buying so many 1972 items!" says Thomas. The dirndls were designed from OTL Aicher and were purposefully blue & white. The German government forbid red at the games to steer away from the images of the World War 2 & its inclinations. "I have the original mascot the girls are holding and I absolutely love it," says Thomas. In fact, you can see that I took a picture of him at the top holding the dachshund!
Olympische Spiele 1972: Erinnerungen ans hellblaue Dirndl
"People do come for the food and drink, believe it or not," laughs Thomas, "because our food is very good. We have a great fondue in the winter that the Directors of the Kempinski in Munich used to come and eat all the time til they made their own little Gondola outside cabanas and now serve their own fondue. München 72 Bar und Restaurant | ISARBLOGI used to work for Kempinski here in Munich, having studied in south Germany for my hospitality degree and then 1 year in Vancouver Canada. Then Kempinski 4 Seasons, which is really the best. I went into media and finally opened my passion. I had a 20 seat restaurant and after 5 years it grew to 1/2 of the size of the one here. Everybody loves the outside seating in the summer, so that helps, too. But of course, the food has to be excellent, or people wouldn't be coming here day after day. It is in the quirky artsy liberal neighborhood and all of my guests are very nice." München 72 – Bar & Restaurant – Am Holzplatz kommen Freunde zusammen! – Geheimtipp München
So, I could just come and chill with the very friendly team and laugh with Thomas all day long, honestly. But next time I come, I am eating one of these Mark Spitz burgers. If it is named something else, who cares. Just give it to me!  Although the breakfast looks so healthy, I might have to stick to my schedule of fitness food. After all it is the Olympics!home - München72 | Restaurant Bar
So, we're having to double check with Thomas because according to our conversation, Mark Spitz has the Mark Spitz pancakes, but according to the google menu, the Burger Above is the Mark Spitz Burger! So either way, go ahead and eat some Olympic gold Medals!
Mike of Mike's Bike Tours in the middle of the picture doing the honor of cutting the red ribbon for the introduction of his new line of bikes: EBIKES for rental and tours. Siegmund, his CEO is on his left. Mike just got done with a 90-day tour of Texas and the lower states of America on a quest for the opinions of Americans on the state of America at the moment and is busy working on his documentary, "In the Same Boat" along with a book with the same title. "I did one interview a day, basically, for 90 days," he says seriously about his documentary, "and didn't really learn that much!" he says laughing. Well, we'll wait and see. I bet we learn a lot from his journey, and I can't wait to see both the film and read the book. The Same Boat concept, documentary, book is all about how as a culture we are exposed to division and we should rather have connections, relationships and collaboration with each other. I personally have adopted my favorite word of COLLABORATION with the world on a Global Level and hopefully EmmeAnesBook has been doing that. So, I am looking forward to a rather collaborating future for all as we ride around the world, well at least Europe, on Mike's Bikes and make friendships on our journeys.
Mike´s Bike Tours are fun and playful and with the new addition of exclusive private tours
from 2 people to 8 people, you can do an entire week around Bavaria. It has beautiful castles and mountains, lakes and forests and of course historical sites. To learn more about how to book a private tour from as little as one day notice up to 3 months notice, please use the website                                                                                                                   https://www.mikesbiketours.com/And everybody knows Octoberfest, right?  The Chancellor Angela Merkle has been known to enjoy a liter or two, yes, they only serve LITERS of BEER at OCTOBERFEST IN MUNICH, which the tours start daily from 9.30am and 3.30 and September 20 to October 5th.  They would love for you to join the over 6 million visitors every year and try on the traditional Dirndls and Lederhosen as you maybe enjoy a liter of beer. Or since you´re bike riding, share a liter, because according to the police that I chatted with at the ribbon cutting (I told you it is right next door!), riding a bike while intoxicated can get you a BUI-Biking under the Influence. Hefty fine.
You can rent individual bikes to ride around the city of Munich or longer to Lake Starnberg, for example. If you want to have a tour guide, they have many different tours starting at many different hours so either take a look at their website or better yet, in Munich, walk on down to the store near Marienplatz. https://www.mikesbiketours.com/
A very fun one day tour is being picked up from your Hotel, driven on a romantic route to Lake Starnberg and the quaint village of Hohenschwangau and from there you can either walk, take a bus, or a romantic horse and carriage to Neuschwanstein Castle where you can enjoy the historic value of the 19th century castle that Walk Disney is said to have made their Theme Park Cinderella Design from and continue onto Austria and the Alps.
A little party to celebrate the combining of all of Mike's Bikes into one big place at the 30-year anniversary.
Actually, it is to celebrate and introduce the fleet of EBIKES that they have added for personal use and for tours; however, always a time to celebrate in Germany, even if you're a transplanted American who is now German!  A very special video is being processed and should be up within one day. In the waiting time, you should mosey on down to Mike's Bike Tours to rent that bike with friends, take that bike tour or an even longer tour to Munich's countryside full of beautiful castles. The  longer van tours is what Siegmund says he enjoys doing the most as the CEO of the Company. "I enjoy talking to people and spending quality time with them and it is more sociable with the long tours. When you're doing tours of the city the people just want to ride the bikes fast and soak in the history, so it isn't so conducive to deep chats!"
   Augustiner Gaststätte Rumpler
Meet Fabian & Fiona. They are some of the very nicest people you will ever meet. Very kind. Hard Working & Very Appreciative of the life that they have. They are the directors of the Augustiner Brewery House located at Baumstrasse 21 in Munich.
Hochzeit im Rumpler
"We met at the restaurant, we fell in love, we got engaged & we had a big marriage party at the restaurant, so it is very special to us. Now we have 2 children & we're raising our family here," says Fabian. I ask Fiona, his wife who met him 8 years ago at the restaurant where they were both waiters and now she is the accountant, if her children are named with F & F, too. She laughs, "They're named Verony and Freddy. We named her after Veronika but we don't want to call her Veronika so she is Verony and Freddy is Freddy."
Okay, so technically I should remind her that Freddy begins with an F and Verony sounds like it too.

"The perfect pour of a Augustiner Beer."
Fabian continues,"is to pour the beer, let it set, then top it off. About 1/8 of the top needs to be foam. And the very top is a little cap of foam that puffs over the top of the glass, Americans sometimes complain saying they don't want the foam. But that is the way that we have done it for centuries. So along with the Bavarian food, the Americans and tourists learn to love the new customs and culture. Mostly because they love the beer!"
The young couple of the Gaststatte Rumpler. I ask if they are the youngest directors in the 60 establishments that Augustiner Brewery supports & they say that perhaps int he top 10%. "We had a very long interview process. Augustiner owns about 60 buildings were they provide the furniture, the logos, the beer, of course, all of the support. We lease it from Augustiner. But from their point of view, we are the representatives of their name & we feel privileged that they trust & respect us to give us the chance to have our own restaurant. They decide on your values as a family & on your dedication to the work."
Usually I have pictures of food, but this was such a fun and funny interview, full of family & love & humor, that I thought I would tell you their story & you can come to eat & drink the famous Augustiner Beer that has been brewed first in 1328 by the Augustinian Monastery. So a love story where one begins in a church & one finalizes in a church!

"Tung & I met at the last restaurant where we both worked & decided that Munich definitely needed a Vegan Restaurant. Berlin has a lot of these, but Munich not so much. I am all about colors. I love colors, but as you can see by my black top and black pants, I have become German!" says Duc Anh. "The other thing that is definitely German is the meat. Every German restaurant is meat meat meat and it is very difficult to even find a vegetable at a German Restaurant." Veganes Restaurant Akimy: Popkultur am Gaumen - IN München - Das Stadtmagazin
"Tung is A GREAT Sushi Chef. Here all of our Sushi is Vegan, of course. We have Tapas, too. In Vietnam everybody shares every plate. I wanted a restaurant that everybody can pick and choose a couple of vegan dishes to try and share. Even when we go to a fine dining restaurant, I still share. It might seem strange to the other people, but that is the culture that I grew up in." Image 8 of 13
I love Vietnamese Food and with it being Vegan, I could eat here every day. "It is funny because you see a girl bringing her guy here and you can tell that she is Vegan and the only reason he is here is because she made him come. Most of the time they seem pleasantly surprised when they try something."
"I grew up with many different majors in Vietnam and when you're in University and studying International Relations or Marketing, which I went back and forth with, the last thing you want to say is you're opening a restaurant," says Duc Anh. "It is considered bad to open a restaurant when you are at University. Here in Munich, in Europe, & probably in America it is a good job, but in Vietnam your parents or grandparents want you to be a doctor or something that is very prestigious or glamorous."Veganes Restaurant Akimy: Popkultur am Gaumen - IN München - Das Stadtmagazin
The bar is brass and glass and plush soft chairs of striking colors. Colors everywhere. "I love colors. I just wanted a place that is full of colors," says Duc Anh. It definitely is that.
"All of our cocktails are Vegan, too, and I wanted to be open to 2:00am, but we have neighbors above us and so we can only stay open to 11:00pm. I want the place to be known for the Vegan Vietnam Sushi Fusion and for the Vegan Cocktails."
So if you're curious about Vegan Vietnamese Fusion, it is an elegant great date night place to come check it out & have lovely smiling faces.

                           CALERRIS IM GLOCKENBACHVIERTEL
Jason introduced me to the healing qualities of rocks the first day I walked into the beautiful stone collection displayed at Pestalozzistrasse and the next day I met the boss, Christian. They're both super kind people. Which you would kind of figure to be the case considering their passion is the spirituality of oneself and developing it with the help of certain tools such as stones, incense, teas, oils.
These you can find at Christian's first location, Kreuzstrasse 4. "I loved the stones since I was a child and having grown up in a family where both my father and mother were involved in the healing arts, spirituality, yoga and mending chafed knees with oils instead of drugs, it is only natural for me to be drawn to that type of work," says Christian. "And I went to the number one school in the world for dance, Trinity Laban, and became a dancer myself, which is another form of personal expression. So, when I wanted to open my second store, here, I just wanted my own personal passion which is the stones."  Yes, that is right the beautiful colored jewels that come from every country in the world and are on display at Pestalozzistrasse 21. They even have "bubble gum ball" machines that dispense little rocks and big rocks for 1 euro each. Calerris | Glockenbachviertel - Wannatree
Christian says, "Stones have a feel and energy to them that respond to each person differently based on your own childhood. If you have had a trauma in your childhood perhaps a stone will not help you to sleep the way another person could. You have to select the stone, feel the stone and see if you feel anything. If you do, that is the stone for you. But ultimately it is about spirituality in the sense of centering oneself and learning how to be more aware of your presence and your surroundings. That to me is spirituality."
Spoken like the true thespian he is!
"Rocks have healing powers, they can give us energy, or they can calm us. It is said if you hold a certain rock and concentrate on it, breathing slowly, the rock has the power to soothe and heal you. I can't prove to you scientifically what a rock can do, but it is a feeling and a spirituality that you have that makes it so," says Jason. During our entire conversation, Jason, who teaches Judo and is a Judo master having been taught by a descendant teacher of Bruce Lee, always tells me he can't prove the capabilities of each rock, but it is known to be true. Calerris München - Unsere Filialen & Standorte
Some of the rocks come from a tiny Caribbean Island and Jason says, "I can't tell you anything about that rock because I have never been to the Island and I don't know what it is made of! It is only found on that island, and it is a beautiful rock." So indeed it is a beautiful rock.
"We have some of the rarest stones that even my wholesalers say they can't find. Every stone that I have is valued the same way that a diamond stone is. They're all stones. Diamonds are the clearest and the hardest and the way we value a stone is by the transparency and the clarity. The same."
Calerris - Glockenbachviertel in 80469 München
I pointed out a beautiful blue stone laying on a cross and said that is my favorite one. Jason said it is the most expensive one! Of course just my luck. Anyway they have beautiful jewelry as you can see from the earrings and they have individual rocks of all colors and sizes. Jason says that if you hold the pink glossy rock or the black rock, you can feel different energy. So I do. He asks me which one is the heart and love rock and which one is the fighter protector rock! I say that the black is the fighter protector rock and he says yes that is right, but he can't prove it. OK!

Bavarian Oriental has 2 locations. The one at
Schleißheimer Str. 188 and the one at
Amalienstraße 32 near the university.  I met Lucas, pictured below, at the university location when he & his colleagues were closing up at 2:00pm. He graciously invited me in for a chat & a healthy falafel bowl & I moseyed to his other location to check it out.
I told him the picture above make him look like the boss. Which of course he is. Lukas laughs, "If you see me in a little while helping to make 200 bowls for the rush tonight, I might not seem so relaxed!" When he sees the look of surprise on my face he says, "Actually, it sounds like a lot of bowls to make, but we make most of these now & have refrigerators to store them a couple of hours. The one I gave you today is fresh today. We make everyone fresh that day, but we have a system of ingredients & know each bowl & we add plenty to each." He is such a sincerely happy person, it is contagious. You find yourself smiling & laughing & having a great time because he is full of curiosity, friendliness & passion. Aside from the healthy Kurdish-Fusion-Bavarian Bowls, Lukas says they do have a cheeseburger on the menu for families with children & he must say that they sell quite a few cheeseburgers to the kids!

Rezept: Hummus – Bavarian-Oriental
"We have had as many as 12 different bowls & today we mainly have about 9. If you love one bowl but want to add pulled chicken, for instance, of course we can add that. We have many specials, but our bowls are very reasonable at between 12 euros to 15 euros. They're quite big, though, as you can see & they fill you up," says Lukas. I know, after I ate my entire bowl, I felt comfortably full, but healthy. I could eat here every day of my life!

Lieferungen von Bavarian Oriental Maxvorstadt | Speisekarte & Preise | München | Uber Eats
"So I love to say we do Kurdish-Fusion Bowls. Everybody asks, "What's that!" My partner, Ibo is from Iraq & I am German. What history we know of the Kurds, is that perhaps they came from as far away as China about 12,000 years ago & traveled the silk route to the European nation that we know of today. Along the way, they incorporated spices, rice, different herbs & meats that other countries had native to them or were trading. The Kurdish physical country today is always debated & basically the world thinks of it as between Iraq & Iran. Sometime in Iraq, sometimes in Iran is the border & they overlap. The food is very unique to Kurds, though, & we use their traditions, which are very healthy, & make up our own. We try a lot of different items!" says Lukas. I have yet to meet Ibo, but anybody who is a partner with Lukas has to be a great person.

Bavarian Oriental - Takeaway & Delivery - Munich Restaurant - HappyCow
The bowl I had is so good. It had 3 varieties of hummus & at first, I thought I could only eat 1/2, but the ingredients are so fresh & so delicious, that you will scarf the entire bowl. I didn't feel so guilty considering it is all 100% pure & fresh & good for me.
If you take the U2 from the Central Train Station Munich  Haupbahnof to Hohenzollernplatz up the stairs left on Herzogstrasse, right on Hiltenspergerstrasse and left on Clemenstrasse right on Schleisheimer Strasse you walk straight to it. It is very near about a 8 minute walk through residential neighborhoods & you'll find some cool eclectic cafes, shops & restaurants there, too. I would come after 5:00pm to enjoy the vibe of the neighborhood & to say hi to Lukas. Enjoy a beer & a Kurdish bowl & of course try that cheeseburger for the little ones who aren't so daring in their palates! Bavarian Oriental Delivery | Menu & Prices | München | Uber Eats
The second location is a place that you can sit down & relax. It is made from materials that Lucas saved, either from auctions freely given or friends or curbside or old libraries, etc. He reuses every item. "I am an industrial engineer & a computer IT pro & so for me to build something, to envision it first & to actually build it, if I have the right materials, is easily doable." Yes, we can see. The place, both places, are industrial meets ecological, with just the right amount of greenery. "Yes, well the plants are all free to me, too!" laughs Lukas. Seriously, who ever knew how to find free plants!
And yes it is that time of year, the famous Oktoberfest of Munich, the biggest fair in the world! Where up to 7million people come to taste the German beer and 2/3 of all beer sold in Germany in one year is consumed in 5 weeks of Oktoberfest! See the huge tents on the right and left? These are the beer tents where 1,000's of people eat, drink, and dance to Bavarian music from 9:00am to wee hours.Provided by tripadvisor.com

Meet a "Bami" the Vietnamese sandwich which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and according to the chief financial officer, NHA, "a secret Vietnamese recipe in Vietnam that we couldn't even score the recipe on," says NHA. Yes, the delightful and very cool new friend of mine, NHA, speaks that way! BAMI HOUSE 1976 TAL, Munich - Restaurant Reviews, Photos & Phone Number - Tripadvisor

"The story of my boss,Mr. Hoang , is that he started as a technical engineer at Audi and opened with his wife a couple of Vietnamese High Fine Dining Restaurants in Munchen. One day, he says, he wanted to try something a little more authentic and playful and representative of his homeland and culture, Vietnam. He took a sabbatical of 2 years from Audi, and opened his first Bami House 1976."      https://www.facebook.com/BamiHouse1976Stachus/
Mr. Hoang's wife, Mrs. Ngu yen is a master of restraurants, having managed his last 3 before BAMI HOUSE 1976. They are a fun and young couple and they love to present to the community and to tourists the culture of Vietnam in the hopes that once you see the Joy of the Vietnamese people that is shown with the colors of the flags and the tables and the small chairs, that you will want to fly to Vietnam and continue your vacation!" says NHA and as I view the photos on the wall of my BAMI HOUSE 1976, I want to fly today!

"I believe that my boss wanted a place to show the real street food of Vietnam. I know now Americans think of the wildness of Vietnam and they are so curious and inquisitive when they walk in. They ooh and ahh and they are so happy to eat the food and to talk to us and of course since we want our guests to have a good time on vacation, we have the Vietnamese vodka of 40% to make our long drinks!" laughs NHA and I start laughing too! Okay, bring on the Vodka from Vietnam!
"You know, Mr. Hoang's first BAMI HOUSE 1976 is tiny and he thought he could try, yet we had 100 meters of people in line outside and he said, okay, let's do another and another and yes we are very successful today. It had it's first opening on April 2017 and we now have 5 in Munchen and 2 in the progress. We have many franchises from everybody in the world wanting us. Why do we have success when others don't! Because the food is very good! And I am not just saying that because I made it or I am a team person here or I am from Vietnam. It is very good and very tasty and very inexpensive and the atmosphere is such as I said that you can feel as if on vacation while on a vacation." says my lovely friend NHA.
                       I invite him to try
BAMI HOUSE 1976 in Miami and in Key West, two special places that the people would absolutely LOVE! And I forget to invite him to MONACO france where they, too, would love it!
"While the team does have many native Vietnamese people working here, we do hire everybody," says NHA. He is a young and very funny intelligent person who pretends to be not so! His humor is catching and authentic and the interview one of my most pleasureable, so therefore I am assuming the team and food is that way. "Yes, the team, I hope, has fun. Although it is work, I guess, every BAMI HOUSE 1976 has a fisherman's hut that is a replicate of a real fisherman's hut in Vietnam that  Mr. Hoang  everyday growing up as a child and wanted it here to remind him of home. Of course, it has the kitchen and bar in the fisherman's house at BAMI HOUSE 1976, yet at the heart it is a fisherman's house." he says.
What do I love about BAMI HOUSE 1976? The team and especially NHA, the totally cool fact that Vietnam has Victorian streets and pictures on the wall show the cities that are gentrified and welcoming. You know, Americans think The DEER HUNTER, and we are shown Charleston in the photos. That is what culture and truth and reality is about. Learning about each other. Tastes of the food and of the hospitality, although NHA says, "Well we aren't nice all the time. We are human and we have to be nice to guests!" to which I can't stop laughing. Love the honesty. "No, what I mean,  is that we are nice to guests, yet at times if we are busy, we are stressed and react with, Okay, I have to hurry and bring the food or the drinks, etc.! "
O and what is the concrete streets that pave the landings of the tables and chairs?
"It is street food of Vietnam. Every BAMI HOUSE 1976 has a real street in it that the tables are on. You must experience the reality of a charming village in Vietnam!"

Muck is a professional. Hands Down. I met the young piercing and body modification artist today at his studio named Supreme Needle Art in Munchen, which he manages together with his closest friend, called Nurik.
And while I am very happy to give tourists around the world the best restaurants and the funnest, in addition to fun active things to do, it is always a pleasure to add a little something different. Piercing perhaps.
Or "Gorgeous tattoos that are so real you can not duplicate these. The best, coming today, in my opinion, are Russian, Ukraine, Eastern European tattoor artists whose realism is amazing. I have 2 resident tattoo artists in my studio, and all other styles covered from artists around the globe and sometimes up to 3 visiting artists. I have worked in the business as a pure professional the last 11 years and I know the good ones. The clean ones. The professionals that have the education and the training to safely give you  what you want for your body. And above all, it is your body, afterall. If you are 18 and above you can certainly decide if you want body modification and piercing and tattoos." he says as he happily shows me his VERY PROFESSIONAL STUDIO  complete with 4 state of the art(soon to be 5) leather tattoo chaired stations and a private office where the body modification is done. Risultati immagini per supreme needle art munchen

"I have had certification in my field. If you work with me I insist on it. You can go to any profession and find bad studios and you can go to any profession and find top of the line studios. Mine is top of the line. I have had my own studio the last 2 years and it is very respected with trusted people working with me."
What exactly is body modification?  I ask...I am a geek afterall! Muck smiles(he always smiles), "It is modifying the body, such as implants," and shows me the instagram.
Or scarification, where you actually have designs carved. It isn´t for the faint of heart and I suggest if you are a EXTREME EXTREME sports personal, it is for you!   Muck shows me several different types, such as shown at the link here. https://www.instagram.com/m.u.c.k/

For the people that love Tattoos instead:
Here are some examples of different Artists of Supreme Needle Art Artisits. Okay, how much time and money are we talking here? I ask and Muck says laughing, "The one you see took all day. About 10 hours and it is 1,000 euros. I always tell people when they come it that it depends on the amount of tolerance you have, your comfort zone and how long you are willing to sit for it. You know it is a delicate procedure and a involved one and the effect is permanent. We hope!"

  •   "You know when you first open a restaurant, you have a idea in your mind of what you want and when I worked with my head chef, (I am a chef too and I do about 5 days of cooking here,)  I give him total free rein to create. He would become bored if I designed only what I want on it. He has chosen about 40 wines form various countries including a very good selection of German Rieslings, over the years, 3 to be precise. and he makes the menu. I guess that is why we are a little different. It is a fusion of Japanese food and cooking, yet the chef decides the dishes he presents and they are based on the Japanese themed menu, yet we present our versions to the guests as a surprise. So, yes you can eat Japanese food here, yet the presentations and the fusions are a little bit based on the before experience of the head chef."

I feel that the other real difference is the warmth of the restaurant. It is eclectic and cozy and open with its big windows and airy space and has such a unique feel to it that you keep discovering cool items to observe. And the food is great and the cocktails too. Love it!You will love the eclectic and rather eccentrically charming Japanese and Head chef Fusion restaurant in Munchen´s trendy gentrified section Thalkirchner Str. 16 , but mostly you will love the boss, Philipp, pictured here, who, along with his father, built the entire bistro cafe funky casual Japanese themed restaurant themselves. "The walls are painted from friends, the metal chairs and bar and actually all of it is built from my father and me and we kind of started a Japanese inspired restaurant from the Japanese restaurants I used to go to in New York where I loved the atmosphere and the food. I wanted something just like that here. And we have had it about 3 years and the guests love it. The item that is of most importance to me is the fact that we started with one restaurant of about 4 wines and a nice menu to something totally unique such as the 40 bottles of wine we have now and a menu that is constantly being created." Says Philipp. One of his favorite words is "creating!" and he says that his ventures and his life is constantly being creating constantly moving forward and I find that here in the USAGI.Usagi: Restaurant, Izakaya & Bar | Japan in München

"Our newest tour is the early morning river biking tour. It let´s you enjoy nature and although it doesn´t tell a lot of history, it is a relaxing gorgeous ride. We have The Classic Bike tour that is about 4 miles(the American slang) in 4 hours and you either enjoy lunch or dinner, German of course, we have Superior Bike tour that is also including the Konigsplatz and the NSDAP Headquarters(Fuhrerbau) where the Munich Agreement was signed in 1938, and the Deluxe Tour that you pretty much see all of Munchen´s highlights. That one is about 8 ot 7 hours and it is 10 miles which isn´t really that much, yet it is long. The Third Reich Bike Tour where we focus on the history of the Third Reich since 1919 for history buffs and we do the many castles of Ludwig, which all of his castles the state owns do to the fact that Ludwig got in too much debt in the beginning when he was building his castles. Yet they are stunningly gorgeous." she says and that is one tour I would love to see.

When I first interviewed Daniel about 1 and 1/2 years since, he said, "The very cool and swanky BurgerHeart in Regensburg has at least 3 cool people that love and take care of it.    "I have to say that 1 is my father!" says Daniel. "He took care of it when we opened and even painted the walls!" he says. "And Domenic is my brother. He is great. I am the 3rd!" he laughs. "And of course my team is very nice and super enthusiastic and friendly. When the owner asked me to come to Regensburg and open the BurgerHeart and be the director I hesitated a little. We went to Wurzburg, where the original Franchise is from and when I saw how cool the place is designed and tasted the food and met the Franchise owner I said, "alright yes." It is a gorgeous place and we have the coolest space since it used to be a bank and we even have that huge Big Vault. Come here I can show it to you." he says and we run to the vault. The Vault is a huge bank safe door complete with the 5 combination locks on it, although the locks have been covered and you can´t get locked in any longer. Very cool.  https://www.facebook.com/burgerheart.regensburg/                                                          The Regensburg location is  Schwarze-Baren-Straße 10,  Ingostaldt is Am Westpark 2

Now interviewing Domenic who always smiles and is so happy and enthusiastic about his restaurant, the vision, the new burger ideas and the guests that it is a total pleasure to chat 1 hr with him and joined the latter half with his girlfriend and team member, Nina, as I tasted my first Whiskey Lemonade and we chatted about how fun it is to work when it is busy. "Yes it is super busy, yet we have a better time when it is busy since you just enjoy the guests and the laughter and the fact that everybody is hungry when they enter and satisfied when they exit!"
The Burgers are huge and I had the Killer Kowalski, which is a famous sports figure from Poland and I had eaten a couple bites when Domenic told me that my burger wasmade from red lentils and was 100% veggie! My first veggie burger ever and tasted great and plus I am on a total health focused diet and that is a definite on my list." The one here is a meat burger, of course!
"Everything is solid wood and heavy duty furnishings and no expense is sparred. The company wants the place to reflect the quality that the food represents and do it in their own sense of outlook on the world. It is a atmosphere meant to inspire fun for families and friends and we tried to add the great drinks and creative sports names and celebrities names that the burgers are named after for you to try." https://www.facebook.com/burgerheart.ingolstadt/
The location in Regensburg is at Schwarze-Baren-Strasse 10.  and the newest location at Ingostaldt is at Am Westpark 2.

"Here follow me into the workshop. It is where we make the frames to fit each client. When they come in here they point and say I want that frame in that color and that prescription and I go shopping for one hour and come back. And I say Alright it is not a T-shirt. We take 3 days to 5 days to make the glasses to fit the person. Each one is handmade. Each one is handcrafted to fit the person. Sometimes, honestly for very specialized it takes a couple of months. One time a gentleman said Okay 3 months and I said, no 6 months. And he says, okay, 3 months and I say no, 6 months and he says Alright! And the handmade glasses are made in 6 months, and he is very happy!" he says as he tells me the stories of the clients. "The Russians are funny because they usually do want to rush and they say, now give it to me now. And the funny thing is maybe the glass that we use is specialized glass that is Impressive FreeSign 3, the best in the world, and is 1,200.00euros instead of 300.00 euros elsewhere and they talk to me, and they say alright we stay 5 more days at Munchen! And they do. They stay longer and they have custom made glasses. We only use Impressive FreeSign 3 in our frames."

Mr. Klaus Böhm is the highly qualified director from 40 years at the Exklusiv Optik in Munich. He is always such fun to talk to and every year it is something different that he has! Not just in terms of the physical glasses and frames in the store, yet always innovative new techniques or programs that he is either involved in or the Master of!
"Let me show you my golfing section of which the young pro named Patrick Kopp wears the name of Sohnges on the shirt. We sponsor him. And of course now he says, O I want to wear the Oakley Sunglasses. They always want to wear the Oakley´s because of the colors. O I must wear the Oakley´s they say." he laughs as he lets me try these on. Bildergebnis für oakley sunglasses colorsYes I say the young snowboarders and surfers are totally into the Oakleys!  I started working with the Company Headquarters us of Colorado that trains young people from 10 to 21 in the program named Dynamic Sports. It involves many things from eye coordination to strength, and we work with these youths in developing these techniques here now at Munchen at University where I train them one time per week. Rafael Nadal works with the colored beans on long strings to develop eye coordination and it is one of the techniques we use." He has for fun me try a couple of the hand-eye coordination games and of course the youths are much better at it! Yet it is tons of fun.
"Now the last 3 months we have 3 pair of Cartier original vintage sunglasses. One is the 30-year-old platinum original frame from 1986. It is original and only these exist in the entire world. As soon as people know that we have it of course they will come. And then I must try to find something similar! Now I have 3 original Cartier frames that only exist here. Nowhere else in the world are the originals without being used." he laughs. "A little while ago an old optician died in Paris, and they found originals worth 250,000.00 in the basement of his store. I bought a couple of these items, and they are in the store here in Munchen. Of course I wanted to buy the whole batch, yet I settled for these. In the business when you have a wonderful reputation that we have we can always find unique items around the world. The young Arab Princes want the new frames; their fathers wanted the vintage ones and now the young Prince´s want the Platinum frames. They change with time. The Asian culture loves the Lotus and the Lindburgh, which are more expensive. However, let me show you another special Ray Ban, solid gold!" he starts laughing and we both can´t stop laughing. SOLID GOLD! "Yes, try these on. They´re very heavy." And I try these on and they hurt my nose they are so heavy! Bildergebnis für solid gold raybans
"You look great in these!" he says and yet I love the Platinum Cartier 30 year old retros. A)They are original and only one in the world. B)They make me look like my father and I look totally cool in these! C) The Gold Cartier´s are pretty darn cool too.!

Armando owns Da Armando on Landsberger Staße in Muenchen. As I wondered into the restaurant near the Augustiner Headquarters I am greeted warmly from the Naples Italian Entrepreneur. He speaks only a little english and tons of German, and of course Italian. "For 8 years I own the restaurant. The food is from the Naples region, Pesce, Carni, Pizza, Pasta, and here try these," he says as he gives me cool little dolce treats..."Rafealo, Roccoco from Naples." And the friends that know me know that I eat these immediately! Yum. Especially the Roccocos.

Here is the owner, And below showing off the chefs of the great brewery, Augustiner in Muenchen.  I say that when I interviewed 1,000 people at Octoberfest they all loved Augustiner beer the best! "Yes it is a very good beer. That is why we´re happy to give the people a taste of Italian and German food to compliment the brewery." he says.
                         http://www.daarmando-bergmannshof.de/
Here the surprisingly tiny pizza that is wonderful. The cook brought it from the kitchen and yum. "It is a special Naples pizza. The Germans love the pizza. They love it." Armando says in his funny charming try at English. I know. I know. I should speak German. And at least Italian! I try but it is probably as funny as he is trying to tell me about his specialties in English! The pizza is thin compared to the traditional Naples style. "Yes it is our own homemade. It is a special pizza." I eat one slice and they save it til I come back. It is my dinner:)
"My German is median," he google translates and we figure out that it is 50% German and 50% Italian. "My heart is in Italy of course since I am from Italy heritage yet I love the Germans and the German culture. They´re nice people and of course they come here to drink the Augustiner beer which they love and try the Italian food. Yet we´re flexible. I feel Italian and German. If people call us for reservations and ask if they can eat German food here we have a German chef who cooks specially for that reservation. I want to introduce the Naples cuisine here and mix with the German Culture." says Armando. He is funny when I keep asking the specialties he keeps giving me the list, "Pesce, Carni, Pasta, Pizza, and Cookies." ! Yes except what is the specialties that he loves of his own restaurant? And is he the cook? "Yes I can cook." he smiles and says again, "Pizza, Pesce, etc." Okay we understand now that he has great food! Naples style.
With the help of  his wife, "Natasha" and his fun waiter, "Ivan" who translates for me, Armando tells of his father´s restaurant in Naples. "Very formal," he says and shows me the black pants. "Pantaloons?" He trys to explain and I ask if it is formal? "Yes Tuxedos." A very classy restaurant in Naples. That is how he started in the restaurant business. And the words of advise for young people asking Armando how to be a success? "A Success like me!"  he exclaims and Ivan bursts out laughing. "They can work work work." he says and again Ivan can´t stop laughing. "They want to be capo?" asks Ivan and laughs. "I see how they work. If they work they can be successful." Says Armando. It is that simple:)

Sophie, the young owner of the cafe Corso,"I named it that for a couple of reasons...such as it is a track that drives around and around, it is fun with the letters, and we researched many different meanings after I named it that because I became curious." I say that Corso is the legendary actor in one of my favorite movies which is The Ninth Gate..."O yes and that too I remember." she says.
"My team is fun, and I totally trust all of em. We work hard and we talk about things. If someone complains ever about some of my staff we sit and talk about it. Maybe someone misinterpreted. I always want to know how we can do something better." Sophie says. "They're friends, you know?"
Here is Sophie´s team in the ktichen, nope none look like any of my theater actors! "The cooks know how to cook and the bartenders know how to bartend. I don´t go into the kitchen to tell them how to do something yet at times they want to know how they should. I don´t like giving advice but I try. the best thing that someone could do to achieve something of importance is work work work. People have to love what they do. The must have mentors. Someone that they can talk to and ask questions with. Someone that they trust. It is important to communicate with each other." says Sophie. "We´ve been here 7 years and the first 3 months? Panic striken. Everyday. I had so much to do. Now I work everyday but not work work work. I have two small children and the restaurant is only open from 5pm on in the weekdays. The guests that come here I try to say let us give you one hour or 2 hours where we take care of it all. You just sit and have a good time. I want the experience of the restaurant a place where they can forget their responsibilities while they´re here and we take care of em." Sophie says.

                      Café Altschwabing
The people at Cafe Altschwabing are Turkish...it is the first and I mean the very first Turkish owned business that adorns my website around the world. Yes! Hoorah for Turkey! "Alright he says that you hear this all the time, however, it is a Turkish family. It has been here about 13 years. Yes it is difficult to bring the quality of service to the people every time and everyday. Of course. The kitchen is the most difficult since every plate must meet the satisfaction of the guests." says Yelis the cheerleader. "He says that he wants people to come and sit at the bar and have conversations and feel good about the food and the team. That it is a family and a team. That people should have comfort here." She says. "He says that you should inspire yourself. That he inspires himself and the cook inspires himself. Everybody has a job to do and they do it."
Does he eat only Turkish food? He laughs and answers himself, "I eat Bavarian food too! I love German food and I love Turkish Shis-ka-bob!" And I say that I love that too. The place is elegant and open and airy and has wonderful real Turkish food in a Bavarian open elegant restaurant setting. A must try..."we do bartending and waitressing and helping the guests. All of us. Like family. Everybody helps each other."

Every year many tourists from around the world come to Turkey to vacation and I want to bring Turkey here so they don´t have to go on vacation to Turkey. They can just come here." says Murat through the help of his niece, the Munich Cowboys American Football Cheerleader, my interpreter!

In addition the store is a exklusive carrier of such rare items as ferrari sunglasses and one of the rare stores that is allowed to carry one of the 31 edition Cartier sunglasses. The one in Munchen is famous for the number 2 edition out of 31 in the world...price tag? 17,000.00 euros!
