I had so much fun meeting Monu, the owner of Mulligan's Irish Pub in Nuremberg today. Along with Monu's very good friend, Mattia, who helps him out bartending whenever he is needed, which according to Mattia is a couple times per week. They filled me in on the process of owning a successful Irish Pub in the historical city of Nuremberg. Alright, Monu is Indian, yet spent 1/2 of his life in Italy. Bari to be specific & the last 7 years in Nuremberg running his friend's Irish Pub named The Dubliner. About 1-1/2years since, Monu bought the Dubliner & made it Kilian's Irish Pub. A cool Irish pub that is a party bar for tourists & locals; students & visitors. Mostly the younger party crowd. Whereas here at Mulligans it is a "classy" joint! Upscale & beautiful. The way a respectable Irish Pub should be!

Kilians is right around the alley, opposite the Ultra Comix store, so if you're in Ultra Comix on a Friday night on the 3rd level paying a MAGIC game with your friends, at 10:00 pm you can walk to KILIANS & the winner can buy his friends a pint of Guinness or Smithwick's from Kilkenny, Ireland. KILIANS is exactly the way that American Irish Pubs are designed except that very cool architecture outside is a dead-giveaway of a Historic European city. Hey, I'm trying to help the Marketing/Social Media team, which is Mattia, come up with some metaphorical puns on KILIANS. Yet, I am sure that Mattia is a very good bartender, when he says that he helps out at both places these days, & so he probably would say that he believes his guests come to both because of the great drinks & Pub atmosphere.

Lamb Vindallo with tender lamb and malabar parotta bread hot, or try Tandoori Lollipop which is rooster marinated in a spicy sweet marinade and tandoori refined with spicy sauce.

Ahmet, wearing the "Las Vegas" tshirt, is the director of the Martial Art's Defense Training in Nuremberg, Germany. He trains on a consistent basis the Nuremberg Police, the Turkish Military, & with Special Forces of Russia(past), Turkey & recently the special forces of Brazil. I ask Ahmet, who has been my personal friend many years if he has ever lost? Even when he is training the very best special forces around the world. Has any trainee ever won a lesson? "NO," he says. The very Best in the World.
Ahmet, the owner and reality trainer of Fight Mentality in Nuremberg and a couple of his very real videos. Ahmet is Kurdish and is born in Germany. He has had his studio in Nuremberg for 25 years. If you are a adventurous traveler and would take a class with Ahmet call or facebook in advance and arrange to do that.

has the bottom level that is role-playing, card games such as Magic, table games, models, Star Wars, Playmobil, & lots of fun action figures. Leon, who amazingly made the entire scene you see below, was very patient with my questions of a kindergartner. I knew very little when I started asking him questions about the games, & just a little bit more when leaving the store one hour later. There is so much detail & technique in the playing of the games, let alone the months it takes to paint all the models & actually create the scenes that you need to do before you ever even start playing these! But Leon, with his blonde & green long hair, is a perfect role model of the game player of today. No more just for the analysts & nerds, says Leon, the games are for all.

The second level is where all the Comics are. They have Comics from around the world & when I ask Will if they know every comic ever made, he says that probably not everyone, but very close! And every role-playing game? Same. Unless it hasn't been discovered yet! I tell Leon to contact QuestBourne of Mathew Mecoli to order some game pieces & he says that he shall certainly check these out!
Leon's father is Will, who has been having a young student in the form of his son,the last 18 years as Leon says he has grown up in the store. He has been around the games his entire life. The card game, MAGIC, now has Friday night playing in all of their stores that carry their product & Leon says that they have many people that come here, play on the 4th floor where competition & tournaments of all sorts take place, then after 10:00pm, they head out to the clubs for dancing & partying. That is a long way from the nerd image that the games used to have even 10 years ago says Leon. HEY! Leon called you all nerds, not me!

David makes the cocktails and just out of the blue he says, "It is a great cocktail bar. I make great cocktails and in 10 years when I have hired a bartender on my days off I am coming in here everyday to drink the cocktails!" he says and me and Steffen start giggling! OKAY!
